Experimental and computational investigation for three dimensional duct flow with modified arrangement ribs turbulators

A combined numerical and experimental study is conducted to test the heat transfer enhancement friction factor characteristics for a rectangular duct fitted with three cases of ribs turbulators: continuous ribs, intermittent-continuous-intermittent intermittent ribs. Experiments are within turbulent flow Reynolds numbers values varied from 10000 35000, pitch ratio equal 5 height 0.33. The carried out using ANSYS FlUENT17.2. turbulence modeled by k-? model. results showed that case provide highest over performance while indicate less overall among considered cases. In addition, show marked then followed rib case. lowest factor.
